About the Temple
Sri Rama Anjaneya temple at
Pozhicahlur was built in 1982. There are 2 sannidhis, one for Lord Anjaneya and another
one for Lord Sri Rama along with Mother Sita & Lord Lakshmanan.

Apart from the above deities,the Serpent God Lord Nagar appears beneath a tree inside the
temple.
The first deity to be installed in the temple was Lord Anjaneya,in 1982.The reason for the
installation of Lord Anjaneya is exhilarating. Once,a couple were longing for a
child. A
group of religious minded elderly people saw the crisis of that couple. One among them
told that if they could install an idol of Lord Anjaneya, the Lord would shower His grace
on the couple. Others agreed. Thus came Lord Anjaneya to the temple. The Moolavar, Lord
Rama along with Mother Sita and Lord Lakshmana was installed in 1995. People come here,
pray and get the blessings of the Lord. It is a matter of strong belief by many that prayers to Lord Santhanakrishnan in this temple seeking children would come true with the blessings of the Lord.
